Free Student Matinee Application
The Old Globe's Department of Arts Engagement is pleased to offer the following free student matinee opportunities October through December 2026.

All schools and accredited homeschooling programs are eligible to receive an award. Although we give priority based on grade levels per show (see production descriptions), we encourage all to apply as we often invite schools from our waitlist.

To apply, this form must be filled out completely and submitted by 11:59 PM on September 11, 2026. Awards will be announced late September.

Please read the following instructions carefully:
- Limit one application per school. Please work with your principal and fellow teachers to combine requests.
- Schools cannot exceed a 10:1 ratio students to adults. Adults who are 1:1 aides/paras will not impact your ratio.
- Awards come with a mandatory pre-show and post-show workshop. Failure to meet this requirement will result in forfeiture of your award and may affect your school's future program eligibility.
  *Award recipient's for Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas will recieve one digital pre-show workshop.
- Request an accurate number of tickets. A large percentage of unused tickets may negatively impact future awards. Total ticket request should include the sum of student and chaperone tickets. Teachers are considred chaperones.
- All schools must arrive at the theatre by 9:45 AM for a 10:15 AM load-in and 10:30 AM curtain. End times vary and will be shared closer to the date of your trip.
